That about sums up the week…

 So this has been an interesting week, and it is only hump day. I have gotten into doing 3 websites; unfortunately it has become a lot of my own imagination to do them. One is the gym, and well I have a rudimentary idea but that is about it. I really must go on record at this point to say that every time I do a website for someone this happens.

them: Can you build a website for me?

me: Yes, what kinda site are you interested in?

them: Well I just want a website I want it to have pictures, and then it can link to my videos and then it can link to my myspaceandfacebookandallmyfriendscanvisitandwewillhave ….

me:

  That was usually the way it went, until today. This is going to be one of those stories, so enjoy….

 This afternoon my father showed up, he came into the room and while panting, from the long walk from the car to my room while wearing a winter jacket (with a fleece underneath). He was half out of breath but continued in an exciting way while I was looking up some code to tell me about a friend of his who lives downtown. He went on to tell me that she was unable to get online with her computer that she had only had for 9 weeks and that she needed some help; and had volunteered me to do it. This wasn’t a big hassle; I had about three hours before my physical therapy appointment and I figured at worse, I could find the problem and come back with the solution if I didn’t have it done within a couple hours. It is important to *blush* “lay hands on the computer” it makes it a hell of a lot easier if I am working with the system in the preseance of the system and not over the phone. No offense but it has been my experience over the years that people don’t always hear what you say, but what they think… kinda like a surgeon trying to explain over the phone how to remove a wart (um, maybe that was a bit much). The point is… it is always easier. I figured I was going to get out of the house, head downtown and face the music. That was when my dad told me two things.

 1. she will want to pay you 2. “she is very religious” (at this point my mind raced, and with good reason as I was soon to find out.)

 I decided while walking out of the house, that it would be a lot easier to take my dad’s car, since mine does’nt like to start more then once a day. This led me to the “Prius” which is a story in and of itself; and I will leave that with this one comment. You get into this crap space car and you have a key; well it is a little box for unlocking the car; I looked for the slot to insert the key for about 2 minutes until finally just pushing the power button. So if you see a Prius just know all you have to do is get in and push the power button! Anyhoot!

 I drove downtown in the car, not knowing if I was going to break it if I hit the gas to hard; arrived at the store a little consignment shop in downtown and hopped out and locked the little p.o.s. I strolled inside to find a wonderful lady sitting behind a small counter fixing her little receipt book with glue (apparently the cardboard had ripped off). We began to talk; I told her I heard she had a computer problem and was here to help. This started what can only be considered a true test of patients. (on a side note; these are the kinda jobs where I really need to smoke a joint before talking to the customer)

 The discussion began with what I charged. Not knowing what was to come; I said I usually charge $20 for a house call to fix a connection problem, and or a low grade virus or set up issue. She then asked what I charged an hour, because she said she needed a lot of help and didn’t really know how to use the computer; I said $10. I felt bad but after the ordeal I think I will need at least that to get through the sessions.

 She then went on to tell me about how she had tried to get someone from the local community church to help her. You see she is writing a book, and after the person had done some editing; and she got it back it made no sense at all. It wasn’t how she wrote it. At this point I would like to add she is a 65yr old Korean woman who speaks perfect English, this of course doesn’t mean that grammar is even close written. I tried to be attentive before I told her I don’t do editing but the story took a turn for the worse. She then repeated the story with another person she had paid to do it. This time the end result was that there where now multiple files and she didn’t understand how that happened, or how to get them all back into one file; apparently there where now about 5-6 directories with the book was not spread across all of the directories. It was at this point I could imagine having that joint; but it was to become more entangled.

 Now she asked me if she needed internet to have  a website. I went on to describe how hosting and dns works, and that in fact NO she didn’t really need internet to have a website but it was helpful if you wanted to get email and or make additions or edits to your website. She told me at this point she had the DNS and that her website was hosted by “Go Daddy” and that it was alive and well. This was yet another hurdle to jump with someone who did not have the information for their account, but I was ok with it. Now the discussion came up as to what DNS means. I explained it was a way to convert the “numbers” that are your website to the “name” that is your website; at the mere mention of “numbers” her eyes changed, but we got beyond that. That was when we got into the name of her website, and how she came to the name and how she had a vision and was told to write what she saw and not to change anything……

 I had not really noticed some of the characteristics of her speech and face until this moment. It was then and there I knew what was coming next, and alas knew that I had to stand there and take it if I wanted to help her out. For the next 20 minutes I learned that a Catholic preist in California had apparently told her brother that her father was in hell because he didn’t come to church on Sundays. How the entire family was traumatized by this and her mother was said to be spending her nights in bed holding her eyes open; because when she closed them all she could see was her beloved husband in hell burning. Her brother’s and sister’s where suffering the same fate and that there was nothing that could be done to sooth the family members. It was then that she decided to pray fervently and fast until she could get an answer as to why her good father had been sent to hell just for not going to church.

 So from there we went into the vision; how she had looked across an ocean of foul smelling ooze that was black as coal and there was no way that anyone could walk across it; as evident by the bodies stuck, and arms reaching out for help. Then she was taken to the far side; where there where people in a row of jail cells. They where all up to their knees in this stinking black ooze that was dragging them down and that they couldn’t even breath, only a faint gasping sound came from their lips as the pleaded for help. Then there where the people chained with large manacles to the walls. They where burning from the inside out and in great pain. One of the poor souls on the wall was a woman she knew from Korea that had practiced witch craft and was now hanging, slowly burning from the inside out with only the faint gasps of air that could escape her mouth without any sound. She did not see her father. She called her siblings the next day to tell them all that she had gone to hell and her father wasn’t there.

 *at this point I was just glad this story was over, and hoping to get on with helping her publish her book and website; however I was mistaken.

 It was now that I was asked about God. I didn’t want to lie; nor get into a debate about it so after hemming for a moment I told her I did not deny the devinity of God and or Jesus. I was then guilt tripped for quite sometime with “Does your father know? He is a good Catholic you know.”,”Don’t you know what will happen?”  Not soon enough we got past this and back into her website which is called “www.iamtheisaiah54.com” I soon noticed that apparently she was a prophet? I didn’t judge but continued to be berated with stories about how people get trapped by the devil, and tricked just like her family was by the “Good Catholic Priest” who had told them her father was in hell! (insert scream here).

I finally got back to talking about the website to find out that she had a modem from Centurytel, had it for the past 6 months but couldn’t get it to work, so it sits in a box; and no one had come to help her, and the people where rude and she had just given up and was still paying for the service dutifily without any service. Then proceeded to tell me about how she wants to publish this book she has been writing but she needs help putting it all together. I figured I could do this easily enough with a little help from her; I am not opposed to sit down and help someone who doesn’t really know how to use the computer, and or put the files back in the proper order. We talked about publishing and I told her I know of online publishers that do books by demand and or in batches and that there would be no editing by the publisher. The service would be available at a nominal charge and I would look into it for her and get back with her tommorow.

At this point I felt I was home free, I had a good 45 minutes before I needed to leave for my pt appointment which coincidentally wasn’t scheduled but I got in anyway. We then got into her recorded messages. She has apparently bought several video cameras but didn’t know how to get the videos online, nor how to operate them. She told me she spent 40 minutes making a video but the video only recorded part of her mouth talking, and was basically unusable. She told me she had just spent $200 at best buys not a year ago, but the camera just didn’t work. <FACEPALM> She was amazed to find out that my little hand held camera which I had brought with me recorded wonderful images and would need to learn how to do it and have me set up an area in her house to do proper videos. You see she had already bought back lighting and background for her videos a nice tri-pod and expensive camera.. again…

 This exercise continued when I told her I could set her up a youtube account and it could be linked to her website, as well as the self web publishing and her other videos. There was a far away light and I felt I had made a break through when we came back to the book publishing.

I will leave this here, as I am sure there are going to be many wonderful stories with this lady. Don’t get me wrong she is a very nice lady who I am sure will be happy with the end results of her new website and features.. it is just sometimes… sometimes I remember why I do not do this professionally; and when you add in a good and caring Christian who only wants to save my immortal soul it makes it all the more exciting.

Yes, I have looked up the information I need to give her, and yes I am ready to do work for her.. I just hope it doesn’t involve anymore religiosity…

Seems nothing can go right this weekend, and just another shit day on the pile.  This whole weekend has been a significant disappointment to me; and the disappointment is all on me. I just wish I could push it all aside and get back on top.

Seems for at least the last month I have been drained, since the injury at least. With that on board it was really easy to sink in a pool of  Derp; however I managed until now to avoid it. I have got to get it together tommorow and being that it doesn’t seem that I am going to get any medical help with my back I guess I have to just say screw it and burrow on through. I am just fed up and filled with disillusionment  with this entire system. I can say my patients and understanding is reaching it’s end, and with that comes the anger.

I figure if I write this out maybe I will force some part of me to wake up and get it on tomorrow..

First things first. One of the reasons I quit doing my blog was because my no-ip account was yerked or suspended or something. I tried to dig the old server out (finally found it in the bottom of a clean clothes basket) and when I put it back online and added the old host name back in to the dns server it came right back up, and being that it is using the old name it reconnected all of my posts, blog graphics etc etc. This brings me a modicum of joy. SO I can get back to posting on my blog and doing spiffy stuff of course that is going to have to wait till I can spend some time reconnecting the systems properly. *update* apparently the www.stono.org url is not going to flip to the server any time soon; being that some people seem to think that posting websites berating me is more important then giving up the domain, check out the LOLZ at the previous mentioned url.

Enough of the small talk for now. I have a blog I am mulling over in my mind, which will be the offensive one to come…

…But alas the Internet is there, and thus I have a pulpit to blather on… So let’s do it no? First a word from our “Alpha Male”

As many of you know I work with this Alpha character at work and I love him to peices but he just doesn’t get it; or maybe he does… but on another note..

She walked t words me like a deer in headlights. Eyes bright and cheeks puffed and she made not  a sound, I was bewildered this couldn’t be… but soon I was to learn of her transgressions under heat and under heat my heart made solid in my distrust and reality of in-compo-dense that made the muse complete. She scurried into the woods with not a thought for her fold.. she ran as the guilty run under the judgement of the Kitchen Gods… I was amazed that Helmet came back let alone tried to work but soon the summer struck her, she ran across open field trying to escape.

Besides that, the helmet update there really wasn’t much to say except it got busy, and I got clobbered like some slow smiley face at a Chuckie-Cheez pizza parlor with a kid with ADHD and a 1000 pound grip.

Aside from that my week was busy. I really must thank April for making it so (SORRY) watching her stress made me focus.. oh well

Second feature is Dawn, she can be a real ball breaker as it was. I find it interesting that someone with sooo much time on their hands can’t read a date-stamp on anything. I mean to say that if something was sent to you weeks/months ago maybe you should  figure that out, but alas it seems she is doomed to stupid and can’t get enough…

Seems once again she can’t read date stamps and thinks something is from now…. sad being that it upsets her boyfriend (which begs the question why? is she upset) … sad that she couldn’t understand things in the time or the relevance it has with things. oh well…

And a piece of reality ( for the record apparently I keep spelling peice that way, I will fix it )

I don’t know what that is supposed to mean right now, I mean that I have seen what is coming down the road and warned.. and I worry.. oh well..

I am not sure where this blog will take us, or at least me but let us begin …

 So as I was wondering around the kitchen this fine morning that thought came into my head; I thought it so relevant as to write it down on a piece of paper and shove it in my pocket. Lord knows 90% of my epiphanies are forgotten shortly after they occur if I don’t write them down. I have been thinking an awful lot about the use of the English language as of late, and the latency of the younger generation to pick up on if at all the use of description, and the use of the language to convey ideas. So often I find myself slipping; using words or phrases like…. well “like” instead of describing the feeling/emotion/thought I have put a stopgap in you know, like… now… Other’s are just plain silly and we all use them, “It is what it is” (really…Really??) How very zen of you to give us an over all appreciation of absolutely f#*@ all. Now I must admit to the time of “Mint” & “Awesome” however they where using at least a discriptive term; where as “Like” provides very little but a base line statement without any adverb associated with it; it is “Like Stupid”… damn Valley Girls (the movie not the woman or girls of The W.Valley here… Oh well; just another example of the dumbing down of our society, by taking the ability to write or speak clear English.. we need those drooling masses don’t we?

In other words….”Htrs gana hte” or “Haters going to hate” or….

I also got to spend some time with a CowGirl. We, Dolly or “Burger” and I visited the beach as you can see she was very happy…

  This area is called “Wash Away” the reason is pretty simple. The beach and land is eroding at a shocking scale. When I last visited this area sometime 10 years ago. At that time there where still streets and summer cottages; now it is almost completely gone. When I first came to this area you could still see the phone cables running out of the cliff that used to be about 7 feet of ground and an asphalt road. I also noticed a difference in the kelp that was washing up. If you have been to the beach and played I am sure you know about the “bull whips” the usually slimey, smelly green/yellow whips that was up on the shore and make for an excelent beating device, but enough of that for now. There was also an amazing number of dead animals on the beach; 2 gulls, about 20 crabs, and another bird of some sort. I might add there are warning signs all over the place out there not to fish, crab, clam etc etc so it is probably some strange ‘red tide”? I am intending to go back out there this series of “days off” and get some good video of the area including of course the ocean…

  Which brings me to the second trip of the day, and that was to the Tokeland Hotel. I worked there for around 5 years. It was a wonderful and strange time in my silly life. It brought back a lot of emotions and stories, wishes and consequences of those days. I spoke to the owners Scott and Catherine and enjoyed catching up. We also took a quick tour of the building. We where then spirited off to see the garden and chickens; I love Catherine… We talked about some of my recipes and all the good things we did back then, it was refreshing. I am going to go down this next series of days off and visit some more; it is a strange feeling… but one I think that needs to be investigated; or at least be laid to rest. Yes, I will be getting video of the hotel as well.

  I really enjoyed my week; and it was made possible by a special someone.

I went out and shot another video today, it was pretty sweet to capture the sun, it was funny because we where all trying to figure out what it could be, but when I ran it through the editor it was easy to see. I liked the effect of the limiter, the sun was black, and the light purple flares where just a beautiful representation of the heat and power of our great “Sun”

So let us begin. I must say that today presented me with many interesting and stressful moments. I would like to start with a video I watched, and posted to face book and will post here.

For the record, it is interesting to watch Bill change his stance and struggle against this young man who treats him with respect, what a fucking clown!

In interest of brevity. If you don’t want to watch the video, which I don’t blame you as Bill O pisses me off 4 ways to Sunday anyway. The end of the video presented a poll in which the “American Public” pronounced that the “Weiner” situation needed MORE attention. I would like to go on record now as saying that I don’t have a lot of hair, but what I do have was ready to come out; for many reasons. Some of which will be interned bellow; the other.. are we really that concerned about some idiot’s sexual habits? Seriously if I told you that I enjoy swinging from a chandelier in my birthday suite while a young nubile feathers my ass and I have intercourse with a watermelon… would that merit more then a *EEEWWWW* in your mind and after that you may laugh at me every time you see me any time you see me with a feather in your hand…but enough of that visual image for now.

Let us move on to more important issues.. oh wait.. I feel a commercial break…

Anywho I am not sure if you all understand the definition of a “world war”, I don’t wish to come off as an ass… BUT. I believe the definition of a “world war” is…

With that said, I think it is safe to say we are in, or facing a WW3 situation. I would also like to mention that for the most part the people in the know consider the “Cold War” as WW3, therefore we would see this as the fourth world war. With that said I believe that we can all agree that we are there. I think it is MASSIVLY important what we all take a deep breath step away from this BULLSHIT that we are being fed by our main stream media. Realize I have heard from more then 1 source that we are facing troop deployments to Libya in and around late Sept – Nov. I beg you… get educated! This present crisis that this nation faces is brought on by a Nobel Peace prize winner.. know that we are not facing easy opponites in Asia (Pakistan) NOT N.Africa (Libya) get involved and get educated; let everyone know we must work together as a people to stop this aggression. No matter what your political view, we must become vocal to our state senates and legislatures that it is time to bring our boys back home; and not be a pawn in this international bullshit which we seem to think we need to always be in the middle of. We are not playing with little wars anymore people… this is serious. Russia and China have already reached agreements with Iran, and no matter what you may think of Iran… we need to worry about our home front. FOR the record.. Our current involvement in Libya is over $800,000,000,000 a DAY and that is BEFORE “OFFICIAL” ground forces… just saying…
